Long before Lila Candle had a name, it was simply a memory—born in the soft glow of a kitchen table.

As a child, I would watch my mother melt beeswax over a gentle flame, her hands moving with a patience that seemed almost sacred. The room would fill with the fragrance of lavender, cinnamon, or vanilla, and I would sit quietly, enchanted by the way she poured each candle as if it carried a secret. For her, candle making was never about wax and wicks—it was about intention, memory, and love.

She often told me, “Every candle tells a story. When someone lights one, they aren’t just chasing away the dark—they’re inviting warmth, peace, and hope into their lives.”

From her, I learned not only the craft—how to blend fragrances, how to pour with steady hands, how to embrace small imperfections as marks of beauty—but also her values: patience, mindfulness, and creating with love.

Years later, when I began making candles of my own, I realized I wasn’t just carrying forward a skill; I was carrying forward her spirit. Each candle became a piece of my story, a continuation of hers, passed down and shared with others.
